Spectacular!!!

I love the teal! I probably wouldn't have chosen it personally without seeing it on the walls, but now I definitely would. I love dark colours on walls, as long as it's done tastefully and that.... you have definitely done.  Grin

Wow, you guys did such a fabulous job!  I have a deep appreciation for how much work went into it by the way.  My husband and I have flipped houses, the first of which was pretty much a rebuild of a 1921 California bungalow (hmm, I should post pictures of that!).  We did almost all the work on that flip ourselves, so I feel ya!  It always amazes us what we uncover when we start to take things apart on old homes.  I can't tell you how many times we've just turned to each other and said, "What the hell were they thinking?"   Cheesy

I love the teal color, and your Christmas decorations look so amazing in there!  But I have to ask: are you planning to get new dining room furniture now?  Your table and chairs now look too casual for the fabulousness that is the rest of the room.  I know grandpa made you new legs for the table; maybe the table would be okay painted and with different chairs?  (Ikea has cool black chairs for only $20 I think!)

Anyway, I don't mean to nitpick. It really is an amazing transformation.  You are right to be proud!

Freakin amazing! I feel like I just watched one of those HGTV re-design shows. I love the wall color and all the Christmas deco kinda tied in with it. Your shelf gives me hope that one day I too can make my own haha I've always wanted one but as you found as well, they're oh so pricey. Oh yeah, I love the chandelier above your table!! Did you make it?

Absolutely incredible. I had to laugh about the people just driving in nails in order to locate the studs. That's crazy!!!! I use my knuckles to knock... do people not do that anymore?  Undecided

The paint is gorgeous... Fate might not have cheap taste but it looks great.
