I work at the mall and during my work I've realized all of the cool marketing props get thrown away in the dumpster!  Well, not on my watch!  I saved this HUGE vinyl poster from the dumpster.

There are 4 panels with 4 portraits all connected on the same poster.    It was 10 feet tall and around 25-30 feet long.

So for Christmas I made a bunch of bags out of them for my sisters.  Of course I did not take pictures of the final project because I tend to do that with all gifts.  But here is what I have.

This is a messenger bag pre-straps.

This you can kind of tell where the folds are.  I sewed up the two sides to make the makeup bag with that triangular flap.

This is just for scale and to see how big this poster really is.... I used this piece to make a little over night bag

So here is the computer sleeve that I made by weaving pictures.

Front

Back

This is my computer half way in it...obviously

Peeking in.

Your creativity is brilliant! I see things recycled all the time, but so often they are trying to keep with whatever it was in the first place. This is an expert use of a material.

Aw man, I've been trying to get my hands on some of these since I saw a tutorial on how to make a messenger bag out of them. I love them both, I wish you'd taken pictures of the final product, I know they were awesome.
