I've been wanting to make some fabric flowers with left over scraps for a while.  Here is a technique I found at Wise Craft http://blairpeter.typepad.com/weblog/2006/03/fabric_flowers.html.

The fabric is an old school girl uniform and I had the skull button, just waiting for a good home.  It also has a pin backing.  Warning...if you try this project, it highy addictive!

I've made a few pins with this tutorial, too, but I really like how yours turned out.  The frayed edges on the plaid and the skull button are very nice touches!  Nice combo.

Plaid flower -- too cool!

Plus it's a great way to vent your feelings about your school uniform. Grin

This reminds me of the pin the grandma puts on in the movie "Crybaby." I love it!
