I completed my version of the "faux mohawk hat" http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=281250.20 I used the picutres as a guide to make one to fit my two month old daughter and big enough to last through the winter into early spring. I rounded out the earflaps and lined the edge in a contrast color. I also have a full mohawk that I decided not to felt.

I used the I hook to make the hat and used an H hook to pull the yarn through the stitches for the hair.

I am thinking to add something to the sides. Looks like something is missing. My DH suggested broken hearts since she is a little heart breaker lol. I was thinking to embroider lightning bolts on the flaps. hmm.. i think i decided I will Cheesy

Now.. with lightning bolts!
I just used some extra scrap yarn I had. It's complete now and I am totally satisfied. Cheesy

Okay, that might just be the cutest piece of baby clothing I've ever see. *grin*

I think red lightening bolts would look really neat, but I don't mind it how it is - the kidling looks adorable in that thing!

I must be the only one who prefers the idea of the broken hearts in the same colour pink on the ear flaps!

Thanks everyone  Grin In the debate between broken hearts and lightning bolts most people I asked liked the bolts. Would have been cute either way. So cute Smiley
