I finally got round to making a camera case for the fab camera that my mum kindly donated to me. I made it using some kids craft foam which I covered with fabric using fabric glue - I then stuck a strip of velcro as a fastener. The photos make the fabric look dirty but I promise you that it looks super-cute in real life!

UPDATE:
Thanks for the comments, I've tried to put together a tutorial (which is harder to do than it sounds so I hope it makes sense - here goes...)

You'll need:
A4 sheet of craft foam (I just used cheap kids craft foam)
Fabric glue
Fabric

1. Measure the length, width and depth of the camera then draw it out onto the craft foam as per the below drawing (all of the thinner sections are the depth of the camera)

2.Score all the lines so that the case folds together better (I just used some scissors to do this but I guess a knife would work) then cut the two small lines on either side (on the sections that stick out) so that the whole thing can fold together. (I'm hoping the picture above helps you make sense of this nonsensical description!)

Tip: I used some leftover foam to add extra padding (you can see from the picture I just glued them on)

3.This is the tricky bit fold and glue a small piece of fabric on the long edges that you just cut (so that when its all folded together the edges are covered). This doesnt need to be neat as most of it will be covered with fabric

4.Cover the whole thing with fabric ensuring that you fold in all the edges.

5.Now you need to fold it to make it look like a case - Fold in the two small sections on either side so that this will be on the inside of the case when its put together and glue one of the longer sides to it. Then glue the other long edge onto the top and voila you have a camera case! (OK I'm sure this doesn't make sense to anyone else but me - soo hard to describe without showing you!!)

6.To finish I used some sticky-backed Velcro to fasten the top down.

If you manage to decipher my tutorial I'd love to know if you get round to making it!

Wow!  I can't believe that is a no-sew project!  It really looks great!
Are the sides glued with the fabric glue?
