Ok so last night I was hooking along...amazed by how quick the project was going when I realized I had made fpdc where I should have made fptr.

Ripppppppppppppppp! Im back to row 7 now Roll Eyes I really need to read the patterns better.

LOL, don't feel bad, I did this exact same thing! I was wondering why my cables weren't looking too nice, and then realized I had been doubling instead of trebling.

Wow, so I didn't even realize I had missed that until you both mentioned it. I always crochet tighter than normal so I figured that was the problem....

Well good thing I was planning on making this hat again anyway, the first one was a little too tight with my glasses on.

Ah, it looks so sweet in pink!!

I had just gotten out of the shower when I got a call from the school that one of my daughters had gotten her backside all wet from going down the slide (duh, it was raining yesterday!).  I threw my hat on over my wet messy hair and took her some clean clothes... the school secretary followed me into the nurse's office just to ask if I had made my hat, if it was knit or crochet, and upon finding out it was crochet asked me for the pattern! I got a good laugh out of that, and think it's pretty cool! Spreading the cable love! Wink

I finally finished my hat today. We have been plagued by all kinds of sickness is this house. As soon as I started feeling better DD and DH got sick. So needless to say there hasn't been much time to crochet. Anyway I am off to take a picture.

After it took me forever to complete the first hat, I knocked the second one out in just a few hours. I really like the blue one.  I made it in the smaller size and its nice and snug on my head.
