I know I didn't officially join the crochet along but I figured it would be nice to share. I used a size J hook for the adult size and a G hook for the baby size. Not quite sure of the color but it is a medium tan almost sand) Red heart.

Sorry the pics are so big.
For some oddball reason the detail on the baby hat doesn't show up that well.

Big ol' update to the pattern! Added a cable-ing guide with photos to show how to cable. I'd really appreciate you guy's input on how it looks/if it makes sense, thanks!

I'm back after being sick with the stomach flu for the last few days.  Lips sealed NOOOO FUN! Hopefully I will be able to knock out this hat today.

Thanks for the great tut on making cables. I had recently figured this out on my own but it would have been extremely helpful when I was getting started. I know this will be helpful to others too.

Yeah...after two kids with croup (one went to the ER two nights ago), and looking at the new detailed tut...I'm finally getting it!  I know, I know, I'm not the quickest learner!
Here is a pic of my progress up to round 12 -

here is my progress so far

i changed the pattern a little since the baby hat is too small for my daughter i am trying two strands of baby yarn and a H hook i also didnt go past 64 stitches. i may end up doing it again with a small hook and the smaller head lol good thing i love this pattern my daughter will be set in hats for years!

is it a bad sign when a hat for a 2 year old fits a 22 year old?
