Oh my goodness.  Zatanna made the sweetest thing ever for my 2 year-old's boat bedroom.  A precious coat hook with a Sculpey sailboat that hangs on the wall.  Kirby (my son) goes, "Wow!  Boat.  Wow!  Boat.  Mine?  Star?  Boat."  (I know - he's a genius.)  Thanks, Zatanna!

Hee hee hee.  Yay, I'm glad you like it!  I had SO MUCH FUN making it, and all my friends kept asking for updates.  And the two trial run gerbils i made are very much in demand.  And I got requests to make a bunch for other friends (not selling, just making).

Here are some random photos:

Capt Buddy shirtless after having fought the Tribble, tricorder-ing for beaming up:

A closeup:

By the way, Buddy is actually an adaptation of a mouse pattern.  I tried to give him a more oomphier rump area, as my vetrinarian friend says that gerbils are jumping animals and are more bottom-heavy than mice.  Smiley  I changed the ears a bit, and gave the tail a gerbil end, and tweaked the head a bit to make the whole thing a bit more torpedo-shaped, rather than cutesy-mouse-shaped.   Wink

The pattern is here:

I love the story that came with him!  I seem to remember a similarly involved text accompanying your Beautiful Use swap items...do you do this for every swap?  Dag, girl, you're a clever one, you are.

I am such a nerd, I knew that ball of fuzz was a Tribble the second I glanced at it. What an awesome package. (I used to have a hamster named "Tribble" and he was about as much trouble as a real Tribble.)

I love the bird as well. Such awesome stuff is coming out of this swap!

I am glad he liked it! Since you said that was something he specifically needed, thought I would go for it! First time I had tried to do something houseware-ish like that, but it was fun to make something practical (and use power tools!).

Those are so cute! And such a great idea for what to do with recyclables. I wonder how she did it?
