From the looks of it everyone wanted to meet up in the valley. The problem was when and mostly where.

I still think M Street coffee would be a good choice - great coffee and tea, and the owner seems friendly and would be cool with a crafter meet-up. (I saw a group of new and expectant parents hold a meeting there once, so they should be okay with these types of things)

Most Saturdays in September (except for the 26th) are fine for me, don't know about anyone else.

I already have plans for Saturday Sept. 12th but any other Saturday in September would work for me! Maybe the 19th since glass_slipper is busy on the 26th? That M Street Coffee looks like a cool place. Let me know!  ~Sarah

The 19th sounds good. Any later and we may have people forgetting or putting off committing to it.

Let's get chatty in here so this thread remains active ^^ How was everyone's day? Worst part? Best part?

So far there's me and raeraethejetplane! Yay!  Anyone else in for Sept. 19th?

My boyfriend's 18 yr old brother is coming to town from Michigan the weekend before that.  Any suggestions on what we can do that isn't too expensive?  Everyone at work keeps telling me to go to Disney, but with the tickets, parking, lunch, etc it really adds up!

Take him to the beach for one...especially Venice with the boardwalk. If you really look you can find inexpensive places to eat things like pizza by the slice. Check out this website: http://lafreebee.com/ Also I've always wanted to go to the cemetery screenings. They only do them in summer so I am not sure they will still be showing when he comes. http://www.cinespia.org/ Go out for ethnic food that he may not be able to enjoy in his home town? What type of things does he enjoy doing?

Thanks for the links, raeraethejetplane.  The cemetery movie screenings look pretty cool!  It looks like they end before his brother will be in town, but maybe my boyfriend and I will check it out next weekend.

Yeah, sounds good to me.

It was very hot and humid in the valley today - hit 112 in the car.
