For Advanced Graphic Arts class we made a notebook with a laminated cover and a thick board back cover
there are lined pages (designed by me) and blank pages (or my massive amounts of doodles)
they are bound with a spiral thinger
the machine that punches the holes and bound the back was so cute
it literally must have been like 50 years old
well here it is

comments appreciated

i would love to do something like this but i would have no idea how to bind it you know.  I am in college but not a  graphics class.  And I don't even know if they would have one of those machines or whatever did the binding.  Loves it!

I just started perusing the paper craft threads.  I work for a commercial printer - it's truly a shame I haven't been here before.  I'm in awe of the books that people DIY!  In truth, the beauty of a lot of these projects puts commercial stuff to shame.  But it's that pride and attention to detail that the maker has that separates them from the mass producers.

I love the notebook you made!  I clicked on the thread link because I adore Bettie Page.  The design on the guts (inside pages) looks really neat - its got great composition.  And the spiral binding adds an authenic look - the silver metal compliments the black and white photo.

Love love love it - And I'm definitely getting more paper-crafty!  Thanks for the inspiration!!
