This is the first skirt I ever made and it was finished in quite a hurry as I was going to visit some old friends and started making it a couple of hours before I was to be there. I arrived about half an hour late:)
 The fabrics are from IKEA and quite rough in texture. I liked the pattern, sort of Africa-ish to my oppinion and also it was cheap for me to try out a little sewing with.

Here it is beeing tried on. At this point I havent finished the lining properly.

I love the idea of the bows with the pleats in back and it looks fine, but it might look even better with tan or black bows in a rougher fabric to keep in tone with the whole Africanesque theme.
