i'd love to get together with other ephrata-area craftsters, but i work second shift, so weekends would be the only good time for me Sad

Hola everyone!

I do a random assortment of crafts...  very simple book binding techniques, simple knitting, more crotcheting, i've started making felt and fleece monsters just recently...  kinda alot of random things, though I'm  not particulary a master at any of them.

I really want to learn how to do everything, quite frankly.  Glass  blowing, felting, spinning, silverworking, whatever.  If it's a craft, I have the desire to learn it.

I really would love to meet some more crafty people, I'm afraid most of my friends just like to sit back and watch me make things as opposed to actually making things themselves...

Like I said, I'm moving in less than a week now to this really big apartment - it's beautiful.  It's in this big victorian house building (i'll be living about the sheldon's christmas shop, the green one, if anyone is familiar enough with ephrata) and it has amazing 12" ceilings and yeah, I'm completely in love with it.  Anyway, if that's a decent spot for everyone, I'd be more than happy to host get-to-gethers.

My Yahoo Messenger ID is kneerab_biega if anyone wants to contact me.

We should start a craft mafia...

I think it is so much better to have someone show you how to do something than to try to figure it out!!  I would love for someone to show me how to kit with circular or dp needles!! also, I like to eat...so snacks and crafts would be heavenly!!

I second the "learn to knit" bit - I'd like ot learn to knit or crochet with needles...all I can do right now is loom knitting, wich is way fun, but sometmies a pain for traveling!

I totally agree have been trying to teach my self to knit/ crochet and I think I get the basic idea but I need someone's guidance because I have this feeling I am doing something really stupid/small wrong.

Amen to alwaysinmyroom...  I really want to learn how to knit on circular needles.

So, there definetly seems to be alot of interest...  Is ephrata an ok location for everyone?  Because like I said, I would be more than willing to open my apartment to everyone (i'm sure the roommates won't care...) to have the craft mafia meetings (i really like the phrase craft mafia, it seems so... i don't know...).  Since we all know different skills, it's neat to be able to pass them on to other people and learn new ones at the same time...

Like I said, my apartments always open...  Want to start in Febuary?
