My son Jonathan turns 1 today! He loves Cookie Monster, so naturally I made him a Cookie Monster cake for his first birthday.  It's very small.  I made it in a ramekin so it's only about 4 inches in diameter.  Just the right size for him to destroy and devour.  I'll post the carnage later.

Here's the damage.

He is so cute and so is the bitsy cake.  I can't wait to see the demo picture.

The eldest of my two sons, Angus, loved Cookie Monster too!  We have "old Cookie" who's one of those Tickle-Me-Cookie fellas - he's a total wreck.  Hardly any stuffing and no Tickle-Me parts any more!  We bought "new Cookie" on eBay just in case we lost "old Cookie", but he never cut it...
Angus just turned six, but every once in a while he drags old Cookie around for the heck of it.
Super cute cake, and what a GREAT idea making it small so he can really have fun!
Yay!

UPDATE - New pictures added to original post.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.  The cake was a big hit.  Jonathan was sceptical at first, but he enjoyed his first taste of sweets.

Oh my gosh!!! I just woke up and am seeing these new pictures.  They are guaranteed to make me smile all day long!  The first pictures says to me "Mom, if you don't stop taking those silly pictures, I'll not be responsible for my actions".  and the second "I knew it was as good as it looks!"
Happy Birthday Jonathan. Cheesy

He really did love it, but now he looks like a smurf.  His hands are still blue.
