I've been playing with an old cantankerous sewing machine that belonged to my now deceased great aunt.  I swear it's about 40 years old.  Anyway, I made these little critters - a polk a dot bear and bird.

The bird has his wing in a sling because it is broken (actually it is sewed on totally skewif, just like the bears right arm is much higher than his left!).

A close up of birdy and his sling:

Not perfect, but I can only get better right?   Grin

aww those are so cute!  I think it's great when they aren't quite "perfect", it gives them character!

My goodness, those are some of the sweetest animals I've ever seen.  Super super job with mixing the diff fabrics.  The bird sorta looks like a penguin. It looks like they should be running through a field holding hands or something. Heck, I want to run through a feild holding their hands!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!  I think you a right merwing, imperfection does indeed give character.  Cheesy

So cute! the fabric looks like the stuff which in 10years is the softest thing! (you know, like that cuddly teddy youve had since you were born!) and they are so cute!
did you make them for yourself or is someone going to get verrrry lucky! (in the way meaning they'll get cuddilies!)

I am a huge fan of less than perfect - mostly because I am a perfectionist and it is the best way to get myself off the hook...also because to be honest too perfect really is boring...these are whimsical and very sweet!!

Milly: no I made them for myself, but they will probably be given away to one of the little ones in my life sooner or later!

Mary: well, I can't be accused of being a perfectionist, in fact I'm a little sloppy most of the time, lol.  I think I need to cultivate a little more patience.  Either that or accept my flaws, huh?

Kaliji: Thanks!!!
