I'd been seeing a million hamburger cakes around, and since I'm not that ambitious, I thought I'd start smaller - cupcakes!
Little did I know, it actually took me longer doing cupcakes than it would have for cakes, but that's only because I only have one cupcake pan and it cooks four at a time. lol

Edited to actually post photos, not link them.




I'm pretty happy with the outcome, and so was my family. :]

I used yellow cake and butter recipe chocolate cake. For the frosting, I got lazy and instead of using bags and tips, I used the Betty Crocker Icing cans - they sort of look like Cheez Wiz, to be completely honest.
They all came with the tips, so that made my life easier, also.

We had a ton of cake bits and pieces left over, since they're essentially butchered cupcakes.
If I get the chance to make them again before I go back to college, I'll add a tutorial. :]

I have been throwing around this same kinda idea in my head, but havent had the inspiration to actually go through with it...

but i am once again inspired  !!!!  Thanks

I was thinking of rolling out fondant into squares as cheese or somehow adding seasame seeds w/ frosting too.

I think the fondant cheese would be pretty amazing, actually. I've never used fondant for anything, so I was trying to figure out a way to just roll with frosting. lol

I hope you do decide to do them, they're lots of fun. And I'd like to see what yours look like. :]
