Plastic "Venetian" Masks (18 of them for about $50)

Hi Guys,
I just thought I'd add these this morning... They were for a production of Sweeney Todd that I designed a few years ago.  We had a small budget, but needed to have a ton of cast members in masks in a key scene.  (I won't ruin the plot for those who don't' know it.)  The characters were at a masquerade in the 19th century, so I went with a Venetian style feel, but made them darker to fit the mood of the show.  I only had about $50 to pull together 18 masks, and I think they look great considering how much money went into them (about $2.75 a piece).  They are plastic bases, originally white, coated with Krylon Fusion spray paint in black.  They were then over painted with swaths of colored Tester's model spray paints which have a nice depth and shimmer to them, like car paint.  The color is nearly impossible to see directly over black, but when you layer on silver, then color, the color shows up brilliantly and you never see the silver.  The masks were then finished with mirabou, feathers, metallic trim, jewels, glitter, and various ornaments.  Each was unique in design.  This is just a small sampling.  Hope you like them!
