I did not make this cake, but my sister did - not sure if this is the appropriate board, but I HAD to share her creation!

Red Velvet cake made for her friend's fall-themed wedding - she used fondant to cover it and marzipan fruit to decorate Cheesy I don't have a clear shot of the topper but it is a copper bird in a cage (a christmas decoration)





I might also note she made this whole thing IN HER DORM!!!
I'm so proud of my sissy! Cheesy

WOW...I was definitely not making these kinds of cakes when I lived in a dorm!
She did a wonderful job! I really like the design and theme.

Yeah I was impressed that all she had were a few baking pans and a crappy stove - PLUS she's out in the middle of Pennsylvania where baking supply stores are few and far between Tongue
