I found this site linked on a FaceBook group.  You can choose different traditional blocks and customize the colors to get a preview of a potential quilts.  I've had fun playing with it for the past 40 minutes!

Dang it, now I have to make this quilt!  Cheesy

I'm gonna attempt to use long pile mink for the white and lime green. I may be very well saying 'Oh death, where is thy sting?' in the next couple of weeks. I love long pile furs, but it really is a major challenge!

oooh!  I like that design!  I think it would be pretty easy to do that in crochet, too, though there would be a bit of sewing them together.

hmmm, I must go hunt through my stash.

I think you could do it in just rows if you planned it carefully and were willing to switch between colours extremely often. hrm Well, maybe making each block of just rows then, rather than the whole quilt. I guess then you'd lose less yarn to having to weave ends in or whatever. I am jealous that you have enough yarn in your stash to make a blanket though! Wink

I use Inkscape and graph paper for my designs. Even this one which I made wholly on the site, I ended up doing it again in Inkscape and on graph paper. It helps me feel less confused by the patterns.
