Feeling inspired by everyone here I gave this a try. Used a size 5 little girls jeans.  Already had embroidery so I added the beaded fringe and hand stitched knit lining just below the waistband. The yellow dots match the yellow jeans thread. Made straps from a leg.  I squared off the corners at each side on the bottom so it has flat bottom. Still have some jeans leg left so I'm going to make another little purse soon.

My daughter loves it. And I think I'm going to become addicted to purse making.

Great job.  I never thought to use kids' jeans.  I'm off to the thrift store this weekend.

I had something like this years ago... I don't know where it ever went but I no longer have it, sadly.  From time to time I think of making a new one and then I never do. I'm really not into pink... nevertheless it is very nice.  I'm glad somebody still is into this style.

One day I might still make a new one (although nothing really will be able to replace the old one lost) but for now i shall just appreciate that the art itself is not lost.

yay for you  Smiley
