so my poor little guy, we are renovating and have old school lino on our floor right now.   His knees have become so sore that he no longer crawls on hands and knees, but hands and FEET!  So  I built him these:

All I did was knit a rectangle that looked as though it would fit him. (rib knit 2x2 for about 2 inches,  then stockinette stich for about 3.5 inches ,then rib knit 2x2 again for about an inch)  Then knit another rectangle in garter stitch and attached it to the front.  Stiched up the seam in a whip stitch and voila! Baby knee pads!
  Now, in hind site what I should have done was add an extra strand or two of yarn around the knee area, thus eliminating the need to knit the second rectangle alltogether.  Next time!

hehe Thanks everyone!  My little man can now crawl properly. i'm going to make more and give them away as baby gifts Cheesy  I think the babies will appreciate them Smiley
