I made these shirts for the next-door neighbor girls (16 and 15) for Christmas.

This is Catherine's shirt....



and Chelsea's shirt:



I used Urban Threads fairy designs and painted them with fabric markers.  The cuffs and bottoms are small 'scarves' of boa fur knitted in garter stitch and hand-tacked in place.

Closeups of the fairies below (I was best pleased with how the light pink shirt turned out).





My picture taking is not the best and this type of project was a 'first' for me, so if you're going to comment, please be constructive and gentle (did I mention it's my birthday this week and you're supposed to be nice?)  Wink

I think these look great!  I have been thinking of doing something like this for my 9yr old but have been putting it off...you've inspired me!
