Here are some pics from our "buttercup and clover" summer wedding.

Our home-printed invitations were sent in petal envelopes from Paper Source.  Matching programs were printed on glossy paper.

Our "guestbook" was a bowl of gorgeous river rocks (from Target!) that our friends and family wrote love messages on with a silver Sharpie marker and then placed on a silver platter.

Our "placecards" were handmade pinwheels that were printed with each guest's name and placed in a "yard" of wheatgrass that we grew in our kitchen!  We hot-glued wooden picket fences around the yard and attached buttercup yellow bows.

Here's a closer view of a pinwheel:

Here's a closeup of the table name flag attached to the pinwheel:

Our cupcake stand was made of foam board, covered in clover cotton fabric and decorated with buttercup yellow grosgrain ribbon, which matched the colors of our bridesmaids' dresses.  We followed the instructions here.

Our favors were mini picnic baskets filled with candies, decorated with small squares of cotton gingham fabric, lovely green ribbon and home-printed "thank you" stickers.

Angelwing - that is really clever and thought out.  And beautiful.  I love these ideas.

And congrats to you and your groom - I wish you a lifetime of happiness!

The rocks are a great idea!  I want to know where you found the tiny picnic baskets.  Those would work great for my wedding in July of this year.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

My poor little adorable husband went to every Michaels and Ben Franklin in town to get about 100 of the 99-cent mini picnic baskets.  They usually come in different shapes - some were squares, some were ovals, some were circles.

I love it!  What a creative, wonderful wedding!  Did you have table centerpieces?  If so, what did they look like?  Smiley

Thanks for your sweet comments, everyone!

Because we went crafty on other things, we just kept the centerpieces simple.  Our florist did an arrangement of yellow and white daisies to mimic the bouquets, then put them in plain vases with lemons and limes in the bottom (which you can't see in this picture).  Then we put the table name cards in a silver placecard holder.

I just love the mini picnic basket favors and pinwheels. They are so unique and cute for a wedding. I've been going back and forth over what I want to do for my favors and everything I see I really like.  Smiley  I also love all the bright colors. You must have had a beautiful wedding!

Your wedding looked beautiful, I loved everything. Where did get the picket fences from?

We got the picket fences from the wood section at Michaels and painted them white.  (Some of them were already painted white.)

Wow. All the lovely people on this site inspire me to be as crafty as I can when I find myself at those places in my life.  One day, I'll be thinking of your awesome ideas when I get married.  I love your ideas.  Congrats on the nuptuals Smiley.

Guardie for life.

I am really interested in doing a personal swap, especially for greener things like reusable lady items, wool dryer balls, or other such things.  I can knit, sew, draw, and put things together in pretty neat ways.  Please PM me if you're interested.

I am LOVING the rocks!!!!  I can see that idea working so well for going away parties or just because I love you parties (we have lots of those around here, lol.) I almost always carry a small rock with me, just for general comforting purposes due to overwhelming anxiety, and one of these would be perfect.  My daughter usually paints me one but this would be even better and faster.  Great idea!

You did a beautiful job!  I love the color combination of yellow and green (it's my favorite!) The river rocks as a guestbook is a unique idea.
