Really lovely.  Smiley  And the handle gives it that touch of elegance.  Shabby-Chic.

OH MY GOD!! THIS IS SOOOO CUTE!!!

I've always wanted to crotchet a bag... but.. this may sound dumb.. how do you sew the lining to the outside?

I didn't sew the lining to the outside.
I sewed it to the inside by following the directions in this link:
http://www.futuregirl.com/craft_blog/2008/01/tutorial-sew-lining-for-crocheted-bag.html

It does look like it's sewn to the outside when the bag is turned inside out.

Thanks for all the kind replies!!

Have just joined CRAFTSTER, and after promissing myself for the last two winters that I'll learn to crochet, I find your post. I'm so in awe of this project!!! Now I really must go and find my hook, some yarn and a book of instructions. I've got to get the hang of this crocheting by the time you post the instructions for the squares. I want one of these bags too!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanx for the inspiration to get my *rs* into gear.LOL

Oh, whoops! I totally didn't notice that it wasn't your pattern - I'll have to un-link it, and I've edited the text to remove the pattern, because it violates copyright since it's from a book. I'm so sorry - I should have caught that, but I didn't.
