My future parents-in-law gave me a Spotlight gift voucher for my recent graduation.  I went in expecting to have a preliminary look.  I have a wedding on Valentine's Day and thought I could make a dress.  I saw this green satin and fell in love with it.  Luckily it wasn't super duper expensive because they didn't have the colour in anything else!

Here is the finished product:

I also managed to find this lace in the discount bin and thought it would make a nice detail:

The detail that I'm most proud of (because it's my first ever - thanks to this tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=283538.0) is the invisible zipper:

What do you think?

I love this!

The cut is beautiful, the satin is to-die-for, and your invisible zipper is perfect.

fantastic job with the zipper, the lace and ruffle!

That is the nicest (what I would call) apple grreen! The dress is very flattering.

one question though, does the ruffle get irritating under your arms?
