Ancient Child Art Doll
One of my new dolls I haven't made up my mind if I like him as is or want to put a tangle of branches behind him as sort of a cradle. He's made of skin, dirt and cloth and around 12 inches. He's supposed to look like a ancient child that has been buried away for 1000's of years.

Now the finished product.I made a little thorn cradle to go with it.

Holy cow!  This just scared the heck out of me!  I was listening to Ghost Hunters in the background where something sinister was going on, I pulled up Craftster, and there's a dead baby face staring at me!!   Shocked

I had to check out your other sites to get a better grasp of your doll...and it clicks now. Just reading the post as is, without any background is a bit strange, to be honest. I've never seen dolls as art before.

I like your doll, especially the detail of the caked on dirt...and the idea of a simple cradle made out of twigs I think would be a nice finishing touch, although it is quite a statement on its own.

I like this!
But I like morbid art!
Makes people think about life.

But I would totally be freaked out if I found this somewhere in the park.
