It's a fine line between 'hobby' & 'mental illness

I was intrigued when [http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318808.0]this awesome tutorial[/http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=318808.0] by craftster "barbalot" showed up in my facebook feed (I love Craftser facebook posts!).  I knew I had to try it!

I'm also participating in the 2009 Run for the Cure with my bellydance troupe.  It's a run (or walk, in my case) to raise money for breast cancer research.  Anyway, it occurred to me that I could make these flowers in pink and sell them as a fundraiser!  This also gave me an excuse to make LOTS.  Which is good, because once you start, they are addictive.

So, on to my finished product!

I actually spent a long time rearranging them to take pretty pictures.  I like how they look all grouped together!

This is a brooch.

A set of smaller flowers attached to bobby pins.

Another brooch.  This one is less pink, but I like it.

Oh, and I used vintage buttons from my big bag o' buttons for the centres.

Thanks for looking!

They're lovely and what a wonderful way to support the cause. I'd totally buy some- I'm sure they'll be quickly snapped up.

I am always a fan of charity projects, and this one is sure to be a hit!  The different shades look gorgeous grouped together.
I love making these flowers.
