pinupmommy was really coveting one of my Tree of Life pendants and asked if I'd do a personal swap for one. I said sure and she said she'd send me something off my amazon wishlist for it. Sounded good to me, so imagine how fun it was to get not one but TWO boxes from amazon!

She sent me a calendar full of super fun faerie drawings, a book that I had read the first and wanted to read the next in the series, and some copper foil tape which I've wanted for over a year but no one around me carries it!

The art on the calendar is great. Very me. And I almost bought it for myself because I never got around to picking up a 2009 calendar! It's already up on my wall but here's the back so you can see a little more of the art:

Thanks so much, pinupmommy! It was a lot of fun and I can't wait for your Tree to arrive. I hope you love it Grin

How neat! That calendar is beautiful... I bought my sister that book series for Christmas! She zipped through it and now they're in my room to read. She really liked it! Smiley

when we did the odd ball yarn swap, myklia really liked one of my little balls of yarn - only it had been in my stash so long that it was no longer in production    Roll Eyes   so - I was using some for the afghan I made for Nobodyhasthisoneyet as part of the transition between colors - and I offered to send her the rest when I got finished with that and she made me this wonderful cabled scarf in return

I love the pattern - it is very intricate and looks like it had to be complicated! close up of pattern - what is it called myklia?

she also sent me a rock from her area (thank you for feeding my passiion!) and the extra yarn - which I had to quick tuck into my stash before hubby realized I got more yarn back again, LOL!

thank you so much!

Ronda
Blessings!

I'm really glad you like it.  It was quite a fun knit and not that hard at all.  It is a reversible cable scarf, I believe from Stitch Cafe. I'm at work, so I don't have the link handy.  I'll edit in the link later tonight.

I can't wait to post the yarn she sent me next month.  I at least want to start on my bella mittens so I can show how it looks knitted up.

Hey everyone, freestyle and I did a swap awhile ago, we just forgot to post! I sent her some hand spun yarn and she sent me some wonderful stenciled napkins that I love and we use all the time.  Plus, I feel so green not using all those paper towels! Here are the pics of the yarn.
