I love these boots from D&G:

Any ideas on how to do that ?

I have absolutely no experience in anything like this... so... what kind of boots to use ? (I mean boot material...) What to use as the studs ? (To me they look like thumbtacks  Wink ) How to do it so that the whole shoe doesn't fall apart ?

I've put studs into boots before, but I couldn't get the attached site you have in your post, so I can't see what they're like. I have some tools, purchased from a leather crafter, which do set studs. But, if the studs are in a tough location, seeing as how you probably have boots that are already made, that may be next to impossible. If, however, the studs are at an easily accessible location, it will be as simple as punching the holes (with a leather punch, if you have) and purchasing studs and tools, if you don't have. I wish I could be of more help, but I'd need to see a picture of what you want.

If you can't do studs, try rivets. Much easier, nice effect.

Oh, now I see what you mean. I have actually done that with boots, but not all over like yours. The problem is, the studs I used, ones which can be picked up at your local craft store, have prongs on the backs so you can secure them to whatever. Those boots were probably studded before they put the backing on, because if you don't, you'll have the prongs sticking out and possibly causing damage to your stockings or feet (ouch!). It is still possible with those studs. Look in the bead and jewelry section and you'll probably find what I mean. But all is not lost. If you can, and get them in, you can always glue some kind of backing (like felt, possibly, or ? Ask at your sewing center.) over the prongs. I did jewels and studs about the middle of one pair of boots, and studs like those across the top, but the whole boot? That's going to be a challenge! With the zippers all the way down the front, that might not be too bad, as long as you can reach inside.

Hello my names Erik I play rock n roll music and I have no idea how to make clothes/be stylish in anyway shape or form  Undecided lol BUT I'm here and I'm looking to improve that  Smiley Recently I bought a pair of old gringo leather boots that had small studs (I have to figure out the exact measurement of the studs but they look liked these round studs) :

They looked like these boots except shorter and round, around the toes not to mention more studs:

These were the perfect boots for me, they were super expensive but I bought them just because I loved them so much. But then after a week the heel wore out quickly and the studs were falling out which I was heart broken over.   Luckily I was able to return them but I still want those boots and I'm willing to make them myself so if you have any suggestions on how to do it please let me know! I will send you some great karma and even some of my music!  Smiley

Any help is much appreciated
Sincerely,
Erik
