Resin Knitting Needles - and Tutorial! [[Updated info for the larger needles!]]

I don't knit either and I want a pair of these!  Maybe that will be just the thing I need to inspire me to learn!

Amazing!!! I wish i had these instead of my boring grey ones.  I really like the mlti coloured ones and the sparkles.  The ones with the yarn in them create such a neat effect.  I'd be tempted to put some in my hair like chopsticks or something

I kind of want a pair, and I don't knit either!    I think the striped ones are my favorite but it's so hard to choose - I love them all!  I love the idea of making them into hair sticks. 
With every resin post I see I want to try it more and more!

These are downright yummy! Makes me wish I had a reason to get some (I rarely knit) any crochet hooks in the works, or would that even be practical/possible with resin?

Woah, this post took off in my sleep!

I need to get coffee in me, and then answer more, but then again, I was going to make a tute for another post I have here, but I have to cast a pair of needles at the same time, so maybe 2 tutes would be easier than answering questions one by one?

The hubby gets off work at 5pm, so I'll get to work around 6. I supposed I can put points on some that are already cast and get the whole thing done this evening.

I need to figure out steps or both because I tend to forget to photograph things. I briefly thought of video, but I can't give instructions in a gas mask, so what's the point?!?!

So I will get that up tonight, maaaaaaaaaybe even during Amelia's naptime!

the gold ones are my Fairy Tale knitting needles, for knitting gold spun in fairy tales, the yarn embedded jumbos are my favorites, along with the gold, The smaller ones are perfectly sized for hairsticks, and I've planned to make Amelia a fairy wand similar to one I had as a child with a gold fabric star and feathers, but a magic wand had never occurred to me!

ahh, the crochet hook... I get that question pretty frequently! I don't crochet, but I have one hook. I keep meaning to pick it up, I knew how to use it as a kid!
 
I'm afraid a smaller one would break, and that hand carving the hook would be labor intensive enough to make it prohibitively expensive, it takes long enough to put the points on the knitting needles!!

But then I realized that with a crochet hook you don't have to slide yarn al the way up the handle, and it would be fairly simple to make fancy handles for existing metal crochet hooks, but I haven't tried it yet!
