No one will want to take apart this beautiful daisy afghan
Also in the blanket department, pesky pixie
wowed us with her incredible Tunisian crochet afghans. The pop-art Marilyn Monroe blanket
was a particular favorite:
In the amigurumi department, wibit

And we all loved artoo1121
's cult-film creations - like this jaw-dropping Fellowship of the Ring
A lot of the fantastic amigurumi work posted here on Craftster is inspired by beloved fandoms, like JenGoPop
's amazing Big Honkin' Cthulhu
Or planetjune's brilliant rendition of Terry Pratchett's Discworld
's brilliant Bob-Omb Bags
was inspired by Dungeons and Dragons to make a giant Dark Mantle
Other pieces, like meekssandygirl
's incredible mushroom house
, are explored amigurumi's whimsical side. Check out the fantastic detail on this beautiful piece!
2008 was also an excellent year for hats on Craftster, the highlights of which were these adorable holiday pie-rets by ladylinoleum
and the famous Faux-hawk
, whose wonderful tutorial spawned many fabulous renditions:
Many thanks to all of our fantastic Crafsters! There were many, many fantastic projects in 2008, so keep 'em coming in 2009!
