My husband keeps telling me he can't paint, despite much evidence to the contrary.  For example:

He bought a set of blank matryoshka dolls on-line, then spent a week painting them.  It got a bit hairy towards the end when he applied the varnish -- the stormtrooper turned pink!  But he managed to sort it all out in the end.

They were a Christmas gift for his youngest brother, who happily seems to love them as much as we do. Smiley

More pictures!

There's more information, and close-up images, on his blog.

Thanks for looking!

Can't paint?! Your husband is too modest for his own good. Smiley
What a wonderful gift. I just love the little Yoda.

Those are freaking awesome. I'd show them to my husband, but I'm afraid he'd want them, and I really can't paint.
Kudos to your husband, these really rock!

Wow those are freakin cool. I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan and would just love something like this in my collection. I don't usually like deformed Star Wars things like Bobble heads or Plushies but that is so unique and well done I find myself coveting them in the worst way. Awesome!!!

Those are great! A "non-painter" with real talent. Cheesy

Obi-Wan actually looks like Obi-Wan! Some of the Lucas Arts stuff released doesn't look as comparable.

Nice work to your hubby, and good on you posting it on Craftster. Love it.

Looking for Australian personal swaps! [For now. I'll branch overseas when I can afford it!]

FABULOUS!  I bow to your husbands skills.
