A sculpture for Red Nose Day.[/color]

To celebrate the charity fundraiser RND http://www.rednoseday.com/ in the UK, our workmates challenged us to make something cool with a load of Monopoly hotels, Connect 4 red counters, red Play Doh and an action figure.  This is what I made:

  LOVE HURTS

This is my first post to Craftster, but since it kinda won a prize I thought it might be worth showing.  Here are a couple more angles.  It's about 4" in diametre.

and

I built the Play Doh on a heart-shaped piece of card as a base then pushed the hotels and counter in.  I cut little slots in the card and pushed the action figure's thumbs through to grip it.  I originally intended him to stand up saying something like"My Love is THIS Big!" but he refused, he couldn't take the weight and ended up flattened by love (know the feeling?).  The Play Doh started to crack as it dried out but I think this just adds to the symbolism - a fragile heart.  ahhh  Cry

I don't know if it's art, but it didn't seem to fit anywhere else!

What do you think?

I work for a toy company so these were 'first shots' from the factory without decoration, he looks really cute in white.

I agree, he looks great in white. I was wondering the same, if you had painted him or not.
What kind of prize did you get?
