So I thought I'd post some WIP photos of one of my graffiti pieces, in the hope that it will inspire me to get the thing finished.
So here goes:

I started it in 2007, as the first experiment in doing a graffiti pattern as a cross stitch. Had a good stab at it and got this far:

Put it down. Life got in the way. Picked it up again. Summer 2008:

Put it down again. Stuff happened. Decided to finish it for the New Year. December 2008:

So now I'm at that bit where there's two stitches of this colour over here, and two of that colour over there... I will get it finished, although I have other projects happily distracting me. But the added pressure of you guys knowing about it, should do the job.  Grin

(And just a quick woohoo - this was my 400th post!)

You guys are so brave!  I have NEVER finished a big project...I have a couple that are going on 30 years now still in my cedar chest!

I'm sorely tempted to join, but this year I think I'll just watch and be your cheerleader!

And Akachan, I can't wait to see 'The Starry Night' when it's finished!!!

I'm going to be brave and start a pattern I made up a month or two ago!

My beloved Harley Quinn, favorite in all the DC 'verse. She's going to be on 18ct Aida, so you can imagine the size. About one foot by one and a half feet, 194w x 312h in stitches. My biggest cross-stitch by a long shot. Heading out to buy the floss and fabric today.

That Harley Quinn pattern looks great!

I love the way the Dodsons draw her.

I'm newish to embroidery so this will be a pretty big undertaking for me, but hopefully you can all keep me motivated with your awesome projects!

Here's my inspiration:

It's a piece done Kaws. I'm not sure how familiar any of you are with him, but he's pretty much amazing. I just settled on this piece today and hope to get it started within the next week.

Yay, I'm excited!

Remember the time he ate my goldfish and you lied to me and said I never had a goldfish? Then why'd I have the bowl Bart?

Why.

Did I Have.

The Bowl??

Here is my big project for this year/last year...
My sis is a mom of 2 boys and the bestest Mom I know!
This began out of the quote "mothers make men" by Thomas Jefferson
I thought it would be a nice picture with a mom, a kid, a lake, a peaceful wonderful scene ***sentimental sigh***
but then I thought about my sis and my nephews and this is what came up

I am going to embroider 2 roses on the right and 1 on the left probably in a chain stitch....the filling of the heart tried to kill me!
I can't wait to give it to her!

c/c welcome!  I am open to it all its for my sister and I love her, it has to be the best it can be!
thanks
peace
