I have a small stitching project to finish for a friend then I think I'll join this post as well.  I'm not sure what I want to do yet.  I have a pattern for a Zelda shield and another one with all 4 Ninja Turtles that I like.  I also would maybe like to do a fantasy one with a centaur or a fawn but I haven't found any good patterns.

I think there's a Nintendo Stitch-along and an 80s stitch-along, too, somewhere in the list of stitch-alongs. Join whichever and wherever, just please show us what you make so we can drool!

I have a HUGE project that I need to pick back up!  This might just be my inspiration.  Unfortunately, it's a poster sized cross stitch of all 12 of the Punch Out characters and I stitch pretty slow so I don't think I'll actually be able to finish it until 2012.

During a conversation I had today I shared a poem with a friend that I found recently.  I love it so much that I want to make it very big and then stitch it, along with a decorative border, for myself, my brother and his wife, and my mom.  The one's for family will be for Christmas next year.  The way I want to do it will take at least most of the year because I want to do it very large AND I want to design an appropriate border.  I also want to make an advent calendar for my sister.  She had a baby last year and now's the time to start a tradition like this.

 In between these monumental projects I have a bunch of little projects I'll be working on as well.  Not to mention every so often my daughter asks me to make something for her. (I love that!)

Man.  I already feel overworked.

Okay, first off, I don't know how I've missed this the last two years.

Anyways, I need some motivation with a piece I have been working on since Jan. 1, 2007, I haven't done much work over the past few years (picking it up a weekend here, and a couple months later sorta thing.)

I will try to get an action shot sooner or later, but here is a shot of how it should look.

I just started another largish project courtesy of MrXStitch. By "just started" I mean very much that:



I'm posting such a tiny snippet just to a.) prove that I'm working on the design he gave me and b.) highlight just how much progress I'll make.

(Man, wish I'd fully explored this particular forum section last year. I'd say the 40-part project I just finished would have counted as fairly large.)

Here is what I'm doing. I just have to get a photo of my progress so far. Its not easy working on such a black background as I can't see the holes very well! This stitchalong is gonna be great!!! My first one!
