Hi everyone, I received a winter-themed Mickey and Minnie cross stitch pattern last year for my wedding. My husband and I both worked for Disney so I never had any time to work on it.  However, my husband decided to join the navy so we sold our home and I moved back in with my family while he's at basic.  I thought during the 8 1/2 weeks he's gone that would be a good time to finish my cross stitch. But its 40x40 and looks really big! I'm not at home now but I will post a picture of what it should look like but I only have part of the border done.

If anyone else is working on a romantic or anniversary themed cross stitch you're more than welcome to join me. I've made several xstitches but never one this big!

I was thinking of embroidering a romantic quote or a love letter from the Victorian era.  (Romance is wasted on my hubby, but that won't stop me from dreaming  Wink )

I've been working on a cross-stitch for my step-grandparents' 50th anniversary, from a super-cute photo of them taken while they were still dating.  Smiley I don't have software for converting images to charts, so I pixelized it in a regular photo editing program. Since the photo is black-and-white and I didn't want it to look like a random modern-day couple I'm doing it all in greys except for their hair and skin. I'm completely guessing on the shades of grey and working with just what shades I have in my stash. It's almost done; when I can find the original photo again I'll post a picture of my progress.

I also have an unfinished cross-stitch with a snippet of lyrics from Bob Dylan's "Wedding Song," which I was kinda obsessed with for a while, but now I don't know what to do with it or how to properly finish it, because I have no romance in my own life, I just like the song!  Roll Eyes
