kind of a take off on the ugly dolls, made from that super soft cuddle fleece.  Not as nice to work with as regular fleece, but it feels really good! - I made one for my grandson at Christmas and have since become inspired - gotta find homes for these guys!  (the keychain one was per my daughter's request - she's a keychain-aholic.) Cheesy

Okay - just to answer a few q's - no stablizer, and yes all the features are machine stitched - (I use a zig zag.)  The "bow" on the striped monster is just laid on top of the body fabric.  When I stitch on the face, I stitch that to the surface too - then sew it up with the rest of the body at the end (make sense?)  I made a new one tonight, with a little help from my friend, and took some pics of the simple process.....first I drew up a pattern, pinned it to the doubled fabric and cut it out leaving 1/4" - 1/2" around the edges.

lay out your face and pin it down - help is always welcome...

Zig zag around everything (I ladder stitched the "trunk") and put a french knot (or whatever) in the center of the eyes. then pin right sides together and stitch that baby up.  They're very quick and easy!

Hope this might inspire! Cheesy

So cute! I love how big they are - just the right size for a big squeeze. The eyes are great, they remind me of the Simpsons.

Thanks everyone - these have been so much fun - my daughters are now getting in on it by drawing the monsters they want me to create (just used the last of my stuffing on one!)
Bsherwood - what a cool idea that toy society is!!  I just emailed them for details - looks like fun!
(By the way - I'm kinda partial to the turquoise, orange nosed one too - gotta make more of him for sure!) Cheesy
