I literally started learning crochet about an hour ago. I've looked at loads of tutorial websites and stuff but when it comes to single crochet in a chain, you're supposed to start the single crochet in the second chain from the hook right? But then do I do the next sc in the next chain or do i miss out a chain and do it in the one after?

Any help would be greatly appreciated Smiley

unless the pattern otherwise says so, once you get your first sc in, you don't skip any other stitches.  so do it in the next chain.  Smiley
