Thanks for the well wishes every one! I'm not a hundred percent yet, but I think that the worst is over.

KedaZenovka: Of *course* decorations count! I love origami decorations too! When my husband and I had our first Christmas tree together, we were really poor and I thought our tree was going to look sad and bare, so I made a bunch of origami decorations, including a star to top the tree. Turns out both of our mothers gave us our childhood ornaments that year, so our tree was full and beautiful! I still have a soft spot for those origami ornaments though, because they remind me of our first Christmas

Sniff, I just got all sentimental and started looking at some of our old tree pictures. In this picture last year, you can see our origami star that tops our tree. We call it our "Charlie Brown" star, because of the sad Charlie Brown Christmas tree.

aww thats beautiful, I love how certain decorations gain such sentimental value... we have a whole collection of angels that my sister has made over the years for the top of the tree, including faded pre-school paper ones, this year she has apparently made a partridge

haha well I was gonna just do the really simple swan that I know but then I was looking for patterns and I found this one, it appears that origami has become a lot more complex than I realised! It took me several attempts to actually fold it but it was not too difficult, I was trying this technique that I read about called wet folding where you wet the paper before you fold it, it makes it more like sculpting than folding the paper. I haven't done origami since I was very little but now I want to make loads of things! there is some amazing stuff out there...

I finally finished my 2 squares for this month - they are also the last two for my quilt!!

I have been lurking for so long, finally I have something to post.

Every year we make Christmas ornaments for everyone in the family on Christmas Eve.  This year I was searching Craftster for inspiration, and the resin spoons that people have been wearing as neckaces caught my eye.

So I got some larger tablespoons, and made ornaments out of them  There are plenty more in process - some with pictures of kids / pets  etc... I'll post more as I make them. 

Anyway - here are my first attempts at resin spoon ornaments.  - They came out great I think - some are filled with beads etc..

Following the resin spoons are painted spoons with bent handles.  The Idea is 100% plagiarized... if you google "spoon ornaments" the exact picture comes up - I claim no creativity on them.
