I also can NOT believe the year is 1/2 over!  CRAZINESS.  Nonetheless, here are the crafts I finished this month...

These are some notecards I made for my girlfriends' little sister.

This is a vase I also made this month -- decoupaged.  I'm not sure who it's for yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out!

Happy crafting everyone!

Hello all - just poking my head in to share two things with you.

One - the June winner is LOULABEAR!!! Yay! You have won a print from the ever talented Flossy-Phttp://flossyparticles.com/illustration.html. Just send me a PM with your mailing address and I'll send it off to Flossy so that you can redeem your prize. Congrats!

Secondly, next week I'm going to be doing an entire week of "Christmas in July" posts. Six days will feature my favorite projects that you have created over the course of the last six months. Mondays post has already been written and will feature: TMommy, ineedart, lynner4, SewHelpMe, SimplyFabulous and Cinnamon Teal. I linked back to personal blogs and Etsy shops where applicable. The link to my blog is in my signature - keep your eyes peeled for Christmas posts galore!

Holy Snikes!  I won!

Haha, that completely makes my day.  I love the July theme, I've already gone on a tiny little crafting spree yesterday, using supplies I already had! Pics to follow.

Cheers to all!

This month I'm done early rather than late  Grin

Why does it seem that the simplest squares can sometimes give you the most trouble!  The above square is called Mr. Roosevelt's Necktie and it's made from 4 triangles sewn to make squares and just plain squares - easy, right?  Wrong!  The white was supposed to be the background and the green was the tie but in my cutting, I switched them - oh well, I guess he gets a white tie!

Hey crusaders - I'm trying to make an ass kicking comeback effort on these prezzies!

I just finished up my May gift for my mom. Remember me talking about the decoupage plate? This is how it came out:

I apologize for the crappy pic - I only have my web cam right now, because my hubby has our Nikon on tour. It's much prettier than it looks!!!

I chose a photo of my mom taking her first steps with my late Memere close behind her. My mom has AMAZING family photos, that are stuffed into boxes, and I want to help bring some of them out and about in my home and in my parents' home. I photocopied the photo and decoupaged it on. This projected was EASY. It took me about an hour and a half of cutting and pasting to complete.

First Christmas in July post is up here: http://www.geekxnerd.com/2009/07/christmas-in-july-january-theme.html

Tomorrow the following peeps will be featured: Chanel, LaFemmeFatale, LrsChic, SimplyFabulous and Lynner4

On the crafting end...I've also been knitting up some cute dishtowels. I think that they might be nice to have on hand to give out with a locally made bar of soap Smiley
