Your pillow dolls are a cute idea. I'd totally steal this idea if I had young person to craft for.  Smiley

Hi all,

I hope that you're all rockin' out your eco friendly gifts.

I saw something on Craft Stylish today that I just had to share. It's a t-shirt quilt, which is not a new idea, but it's quite possibly the coolest t-shirt quilt I've ever seen!

Thought I'd drop in and provide a little inspiration!

I was actually thinking this morning how I like the idea of t-shirt quilts but never seem to like they way they are executed...but that one is great!  I'm going to have to do some spring cleaning in my closet!  Wink

Hey peeps! I think my crafty mojo is back  Grin I've been working on a gift that I'll be able to split in to two gifts. It's rad, recycled and pretty much costs nothing because it is made entirely with things I have around the house. I CAN NOT WAIT TO SHOW YOU. But I'm trying to hold off until a finish. A few days, my pets, a few days.

Is anybody else working on anything? I know one of you wants that sweet Resurrection Fern necklace?! And remember...251 days until Christmas. Think how calm and collected you'll feel with your stash of handmade gifties ready to roll Smiley

(See, the mojo is WAY BACK)

Okay kids - I finished!

I made two gifts for my nieces, who are sisters and they are 13 and 15. I made recycled magazine stationary sets. Each set has five envelopes and ten flat pages for writing. I did not buy a single thing for this project. I used magazine pages, lined paper and a glue stick.

Here's the business side of the flats:

And the party side:

Here are all of the envelopes:

Bundled up, and ready to give:

I think I'm going to write up a tutorial with a PDF template (it's not rocket science, but it will be nice) for my blog - but also so I can include instructions for each of my nieces to make them if they run out. I think that will be a nice touch to encourage recycling and craftiness Smiley

These are so much fun to make - and FREE FREE FREE! What do you guys think?

stolie, sooo awesome and fun!  love that they are free!!

i've been working on socks this month again, (surprise), but i decided to use fingering weight yarn for one pair, and it's seriously slowed me down!  I finished one sock and i'm saving the other for later in the month.  I started a different pair, in DK-weight!--and the first sock is almost done.  will post soon!

I love the envelope with "Carl" on it...the word box coming from his mouth is adorable!  Cheesy

I have a few ideas of recycled things to do, but I'm not sure I'm going to have time to do them before the month's over.  My SIL is having a C-section on April 27 and I still have to make the baby a quilt!  Shocked
