Hi Pops - I just put the October theme up on page 1. Sorry for the tardiness *AGAIN* every one. Life has been more than a little crazy as of late, and sadly I feel my crafty crusade has gone wayward! I do have prizes for the September/October peeps and I will draw winners soon!

my LAST pair of socks!  yippee!  these are for hubby:

now i'm just tying up loose ends, crafting for my mom's and my grandmother's bdays (which are right after christmas).   I'm thinking of packing up / mailing all the xmas packages over thanksgiving this year.  we'll see!

i'm SO glad to be following this craft-along!  i decided to finish my dissertation this academic year, which means that my final draft is due in january.  so, my crafting time in nov/dec just dwindled to little to none.  but, I'm mostly set b/c I've been working all year--no worries!  Thank you, stoliedina!!!

oneredboot - I'm so proud of you! I've loved seeing all of your socks this year, seriously bravo! I just finished a pair of socks that I've been working on since July, HA!

I'm finally getting back to gift-making myself. All of my sister-in-law/brother's girlfriend/nephew's girlfriend types are getting a hand-knit dishcloth/facecloth and a bar of soap from a local vendor. I have two out of five done.

Also I've decided to make mulled cider sachets for a few friends of mine. They were lamenting that they couldn't find the store bought powder packets anymore...

P.S. Haven't forgotten about prezzies for you peeps. The October prize has been settled on with a crafter and I'm just waiting for a second to tally up your August/September entries!

What are all of you working on? I'm about to zip back into Christmas hyper drive because

CHRISTMAS IS IN 70 DAYS!!!
Oh dear...

I second that! It sounds amazing.

I haven't been doing much Christmas crafting with this new baby on the way.  I've mostly been sewing diapers.  If this one decides to come as early as my first kiddo did, I've only got 3 weeks left.  But I'm kinda hoping he'll just stay in there a wee bit longer. :-)  My official due date isn't until the day after Thanksgiving.

BUT...I still need to finish up the salt dough plaques for my mom and they fit right into this month's theme, so I'm going to try to get them done here in the next two weeks.  I should also try to finish up my brother's recipe box.  After all, what's more "hearth and home" than FOOD!? :-)

I'm going to be using Martha Stewart's mulling sachet directions. I'm so happy that I found a link to this online with a photo, because I love how they are packaged: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/mulling-sachets
