I am hoping to get my 2 squares done yet this month.

My youngest son (17) broke his leg 5 weeks ago and he's been around the house for all that time and it really puts a crimp in my crafting.  The one good thing though, is that he finished grade 12 during that time period (we homeschool.)   The cast is supposed to come off today and once that happens and he's back to work, I'll get some stuff done!

Hi, I only just discovered this thread, nice idea! might save the crazy rush the week before christmas that happened this year (although in april, I don't feel particularly...uhh. ..christmassy.)

Those speech-bubble envelopes are amazing! I love them... Do you mind if the idea is borrowed? (imitation being the sincerest form of flattery). Ok silly question you probably don't mind since you're gonna write a tutorial.

Homerof - Ouch! Your poor son, that's terrible! I hope that he's on the mend soon. And hop to it on those squares girl! You've done so well meeting your goals thus far, I have no doubt you can do it Smiley

Keda - welcome! You absolutely can use the stationary idea! I can't wait to see what you bring to the Crusade! Cheers!

Hey every one!

I'm on a crafty roll here! I finished this month's theme, and now I'm skipping backwards starting my memory project that I never got to last month. As a refresher for the newbies and you all following along, I'm making a memory matching game with family photos on it. Two sets, for my niece and nephew. I cut out all of the background squares for my nephew's set today at Stitch n' Bitch.

I'm feelin' pretty craftastic  Wink How about you ladies? The board has been a bit quiet this month as well. Crafty slumps abounding?

Eeeeep! Way to post three times a row on my own board, but I had to share this link stat!

Recycled magazine dollhouse (easier than it sounds my friends). This is SUCH a cute easy idea - and it goes along with this month's theme:

I just don't seem to be able to feel...christmassy in spring [grin] I just know that if I made someone a present I'd end up giiving to to them for their birthday or something! Though, er, why I don't just do that is a bit beyond me, that would be helpful too. Hmm.

My internship is over in just two more weeks and then I'm going to catch up on everything!  I have to do the skateboard and the recipe box before anything else in my life happens!

Despite what I said this morning, I actually decided to start SOON on a present for my family/little sister (I'll label it to her but it's for her, my mum and my stepdad really, to play when they go away in the caravan together). I remembered a post about crocheted checkers in my bookmarks and I'm going to try my hand at it :-) I left home about three years ago but the three of them go away quite a lot and are always after new games to play in the motorhome. I thought this would be perfect as it's not so much of a disaster if it gets knocked over - being made of yarn, the pieces will cling to the board and not roll away everywhere!

I made one of these for my sister. She lives at the beach and this is perfect for hauling lotion, towel, flip-flops, etc., and sand just falls right through instead of accumulating in the bottom. It can get wet and it doesn't matter.

I didn't take a picture because it wasn't a Christmas gift, but I thought of this board when I was making it.
