Ooooo, love the owl.  I have been meaning to make something like this for my mom.  She collects owls and she has a new white tree that she need some more gold oranments for next year.  So Im thinking of getting gold and white and cream felt and using gold sequins on it.

Homerof - Tell you what if you post two squares on a particular month I will count that as an entry to the raffle. Hurray for setting goals  Grin

Okay, here are my first 2 squares for my Christmas quilt:

They really are both square but the angle of the pictures make them both look a little lopsided.

Catching up on all the postings since my last visit... wow... great stuff.

The quilt squares are great!.. and I love the little owl.  I like the way the sequins are arranged.  I bet he'll look great on a tree.

So, my MIL just sent me a pattern for a quick and dirty double-thick crocheted hot pad.  But can you use acrylic yarn for hot pads or will they melt?  Anyone know?  Cuz that would be a FANTASTIC way to go through a bunch of my yarn this year.

Here's my reindeer.  I wish he would have frayed a bit more, but I love him.  I think he'll be my Xmas present to myself Grin
