After having spent several hours and several trips back and forth to the one *tiny* shop in town, I had given up on ever being able to find replacement belts for my old machine.
Hubby took me to Target that weekend, and as we passed the sewing machine aisle, I glanced in to see what new machines were running. There was a VERY basic machine for less than $80. Hubby grabbed it and walked directly to the checkout counter. (SWEETIE!!!)
I've been beating the heck out of it for several months - denim, pleather, felt, plastic - no problems so far!

And I was trying to pay for postage for Munora's package with Paypal, but I guess you have to have made a sale with Paypal to do it that way. Oh well, I guess it will have to wait til I have the money this Friday.

I thought about just getting a cheap machine. But, after sewing on my Bernina I'm spoiled. Besides I can't pay for it for another week anyway. I think I will just borrow my friends machine till i get mine back. I think part of the reason I'm so bummed is my husband truck broke down a couple weeks ago and my dryer broke last week and now my sewing machine. 

  On a happier note, I can't believe your sending already. I'm so excited. I feel bad that I can't send yours yet. I could probably finish it by hand. But, I haven't even started the second part. Soon my dear, soon.

on my swap news, I still haven't found what I need to do my last bit.  So since it was just extra embelishment, maybe I wont add it....  so torn, cause I really want to add it, have time to find what I need,  but soooo want to send cause I'm excited for KmartKid to get it!

When I was making stripper costumes for a living, I only had a $200 Riccar. After I beat it to death on sequins, lame, and vinyl, and was bringing in the big bucks, I traded it in on a $2400 Singer with all the bells and whistles. It took about 2 weeks before I returned it and got another cheap workhorse. I've stuck with them ever since!

The DCN# states that my package was delivered to my partner today. Now I'm crapping my pants. I hope she isn't trying to muster up some nice words to say about it because it is really crap.

the finishing touches on my partners bag are finished,  But I'm waiting until the vetran postmistress gets back from holiday to send.... I don't think the newb postmistress knows what shes doing.  I asked for a tracking number the last time I sent and didn't get one.  So I'm just gonna wait....
