My cousin-in-law just had her first baby and so I've made a fairy godmother to look over her and bestow well wishes.

She carries a wishing wand in one hand and map (so that she never ever feels lost) in other... .

On her head of woolly hair sits a paper crown and a bee being closely watched so that he doesn't fly into anyone's bonnet. She also has a string of 'pearls of wisdom' and a golden heart (ok it's not really gold but close enough).

Her skirt holds a load of secret wishes. A treasure chest of secret wonders, a lucky coin, a key to open every door, extra buttons (especially good for buttoning lips), a mirror so she'll always recognise how beautiful she is... loads of things every little girl will need while growing up.

The most special secret that the skirt holds is that it contains fabric from her great-grandmother who passed away a few years ago. The fabric wasn't from a dress, it was literally from rags. I'd like to think that those rags have little bit of her 'bisnonna' in them though because she was a cleaning fanatic Wink

I LOVE, LOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVV VVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! (clear enough? Cheesy) your dolls. Every little details is so thoughtful and also the way you describe them is really fun to read and... they just look amazing (trying so hard to memorize most of your post to get inspired to make something one day Cheesy... just art dolls, i mean... the idea, that you CAN use more detail and hide lil treasures in the clothing etc... and just the ideas behind everything).

I always enjoy looking at your work Smiley THANK YOU!

Based on looks alone, she's quite charming -- but it's all her secrets that make her breathtaking.

this is amazing, the doll is really beautiful but with the dress and wand it's amazing. I really love that the dress is made out of her grandmothers rags
