For Christmas I made my sister a "Death Note" cookbook filled with treats her favourite character, L, would eat. I wanted to be creative with the wrapping and I figured what better way to do so than to send the Death Note in a confidential package for L!

I used materials I found around my house to make the package:

I had no brown wrapping paper, so I found some old brown paper bags to do the trick!

I wrapped the notebook like any other gift and finished off the wrapping by tying some spare yarn around the package and stenciling L's logo with black paint and a foam brush on the front like so:

My sister fell in love with the wrapping and loved the gift before she even opened it. She was very careful not to rip the packaging and actually kept the paper too.

That is just too cool! My boyfriend adores L, this is a great idea!
Were the recipes for things like cookies, and cupcakes and such?

Cookies, cakes, sundaes, candies and chocolates... anything sweet and high in sugar I threw in the cook book ^_^

I recognised that L from the thumbnail; I love DN too. What a cool idea! If you don't mind, I might steal it and make an L cookbook of my own... Smiley

My son got me addicted to this show and i knew he had to see this gift wrapping. When I showed it to him he showed me this "adjusted" food pyramid, which i share with you now:o) I'm new so i can't post a picture, but here's a link!

Great idea.  My Niece loves Death Note and is having a DN themed birthday party next week.  We used the same L font and printed it on the invitation envelopes and we then printed the L on some label/sticker paper and stuck them on some big plastic cups we're going to fill with candy to give as gifts to everyone who comes.

Love the stencil on the wrapping paper and a cookbook is a great idea!
