I dont think she was scared of it because she didnt have a mate.. I think if it were real her maternal instincts would have kicked in naturally. She only got scared because it was a new and strange "thing" in her cage/near her. Birds do that.. I have 7 'tiels some of which are the result of mating..  I dont think what you did was mean though. She reacted the way my birds react when I put a new toy in their cage..

Great job on the sculpting by the way.. VERY realistic!
