I have this horrible habit of adding my personal touch to everything I own. It first started with stickers, and now I'm rocking the mod podge. I bought a couple of candle plates from Big Lots and decided I need to decorated them before I used them. I took some bug images from some vintage national geographics I had, and mixed them up a bit. I then added some sparkle mod podge, vanrish and off they went to their destiny!

On with the pics!!

this is a closeup of the first plate I made, so you can hopefully see the buildings behind the bug. I thought it looked most awesome.
full frontal.
This is the second one I made. The background image is a map of southern california that we bought when we got lost in LA. It really didn't help much at all.. so I decided to use it for a good cause... crafts!

now to go burn things on them!!!
