Okay, I have no idea how I did it, but I made a magic circle, and it worked! I tried about 10 different times and I kept knotting it somehow so that it wouldn't pull tight. So I got 2 rounds on, and I'm stuck! lol Grrr to patterns!

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

Are you using a row marker? You don't need a special one, I always use a paperclip.

me too.  I tend to loose my stitch markers, so paperclips are my 'stitch markers' of choice because if I loose them I have alot more. Grin

i also like paper clips as stitch markers! i find they are easier to keep attached and don't get in my way.

until I started doing ami's I didn't even know what a stitch marker was, LOL! I rarely use them, but when I need them I have these huge honkin' clips that I put on there - no chance I will lose them, LOL!

I don't have any stitch markers, I DO have a paperclip somewhere that I got in the mail on some "important" forms, but it's at the bottom of my beads/buttons vase, lol. So I used a piece of pipe cleaner, but it kept fraying the yarn, so I decided I would just count. It was kind of nice just to count, I didn't have to think about anything else for like half an hour! One, two, increase, one, two, increase, hehe

Some people use safety pins for stitch markers.  I tried it but found the yarn got caught in the space on the head of the pin.  For years, I've just used a piece if scrap yarn to indicate the new rounds and it has worked for me.
