It's supposed to illustrate the word "Roundabout". When I looked it up in the dictionary to get the full definition, it mentioned something about carousels and Merry Go Rounds. I hope you like it! (The horse hair is made out of handspun yarn from My Paper Crane by the way, I'm not sure if it shows up well in the scan or not)

God bless the daylight, the sugary smell of springtime, remembering when you were mine in a still suburban town...

Here's another one. Character Portrait #1 for a school assignment where we were given a short story and had to make a collage of the main character. The whole piece is collage of various items except for the detail in the hair and the lines on the face, which are paint. You can't see all of the detail because it's not the best photograph and it's too large for my scanner. Stuff like the eyelashes are made of feathers, the jewlery is shiny buttons, there are gold stars in the shawl. Basically I need to learn to take better pictures.

Yes, it is from a paint selector card, or paint chip strip, depending on what you like to call them.

Great job on both projects, but I definitely LOVE how you incorporated the paint chip strip into the carousel one!
